Reflexology is a complementary therapy in which gentle, controlled pressure is applied to areas of the feet. Many people choose a session as dedicated time to relax, feel comfortable and step back from busy daily life.

How does reflexology work?
Reflexology is based on a traditional system of mapped reflex areas on the feet. Practitioners work these areas using their fingers and thumbs. The map guides the sequence of a session, but it is not a diagnostic tool and reflexology does not diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions.

What happens at a reflexology appointment?
We begin with a conversation about your health, preferences and what you would like from the appointment. You remain clothed apart from removing your shoes and socks, then sit or recline comfortably while I work on your feet. The pressure is adjusted to suit you and should not be painful.
- Your first visit includes time to discuss relevant health information
- The session is adapted for comfort and individual preferences
- Single appointments are welcome
- A course of appointments can be discussed if you prefer ongoing sessions
Who should check before booking?
Please tell me about relevant health conditions, recent surgery, injuries, pregnancy or changes to your medication when you enquire. Some circumstances may mean that a session should be postponed or adapted. If you have a medical concern or are unsure whether reflexology is appropriate, speak with your GP or another qualified healthcare professional.
